Hi I'm George

I'm a completely black cat. I adopted Erica on April 1, 1997 when I was at the Animal Haven Shelter in Shawnee, KS. She was living in Overland Park, KS at the time. I loved my new home - I was the only cat for four months. My "birthday" is April 1, but I'm definitely not an April Fool.

      In July 1997, Erica brought Chloe home. Chloe had been a street cat in a bad area of Kansas City. She was scared of her new home, but we got to know each other by playing under the bedroom door. Chloe acted like a street cat - she had a tough girl attitude. We would run through the house and act like hooligans, something I didn't do until Chloe arrived. So I guess you could say, she was a bad influence on me - because I would never have gotten into trouble on my own.

      Chloe and I became good friends. We love tumbling around together. We also like giving each other baths. Many times our baths turn into mini fights. We sleep together a lot, a warm kitty to curl up with is always nice. We know how to take over any chair. If she's sleeping somewhere I really want to sleep, I'll just curl up with her and work on making her move so I can stretch out.

      I have many favorite things, one of my favorite things is sleeping. I'm very handsome when I'm sleeping. Have you ever seen such a good-looking, handsome, sleeping cat? Hey, I'm ultra handsome when I'm awake. I'm very proud of my all black coat. I have beautiful black fur (don't mention my winter dandruff).

And I'm obviously very photogenic!

Telling my mom all about my day and expressing my opinions! I have no problem speaking my mind.

Favorite people food: CHEESE

Favorite cat food: Kitty Kaviar (I love the smell and the yummy kitty breath it gives me!)

Favorite time of day: First thing in the morning. Mom loves this time of day too. To get her up, I bite her hair and face and yeowl really loudly because I MUST be fed!

I love laying on mom's lap.
I'm really good at begging for food and telling mom all about it.
