ribbing on sweater
I finished the ribbing that I had to add on to the bottom of the first sleeve of Karla’s sweater. After I finished the ribbing, I sewed the sleeve to the body. Saturday, I cut and started the ribbing on the second sleeve. I’ll probably sew that sleeve on tonight or tomorrow night. Then I’ll finish the side seams. I don’t know what do to for the neck. I can’t remember what she said she wanted, so I’ll do a preliminary neck like the pattern calls for and if she doesn’t like it I just won’t attach it to the sweater.
Other than the ribbing, I haven’t done a lot of knitting lately. I’m in the process of putting together a few proposals for knitting classes at places in the northern suburbs.
I haven’t been to a yarn store in forever. The last time I was in a store was the one day that I worked at the store in Long Grove. I think not being in a knitting store for so long is part of my lack of motivation to do any knitting. I’ve also found so many other things to do with my time. Cards seem to give me the instant satisfaction that I crave right now. I wonder if I had a knitting store that I felt like I could hang out at would help get me over my knitting plateau. My sister wants to make a scarf that she saw online and in a few weeks, I’ll go in to the Knitting Workshop with her to pick out yarn. I haven’t been there since July, I’m hoping that several of the regular Sunday knitters will be there. I miss going to the store for a few hours on a Sunday. It’s such a trek into the city that the Sundays Bryan is working, I usually prefer to do things around the house. I also haven’t heard from any knitting friends in a while. I hope they don’t think that I’ve abonded them because I’ve moved to the suburbs.
I finally found the cable to my digital camera. It was exactly where I had put it before, you know, in that place where I wouldn’t forget it. Silly me, I forgot it for about two months. I will soon be posting new photos of projects in progress, hopefully by Christmas. :) I will also be setting up a page for my cards.
